Training centre for Serb auto mechanics

As a manufacturer and supplier of vehicle parts, Ferdinand Bilstein GmbH & Co. KG has had sales branches and a central storage depot in South East Europe since 1995. In the medium term, the company is planning to expand its market position and strengthen its customers' competitive capacity. As part of a development partnership, the vehicle parts company is therefore working with sequa to set up a training centre in Belgrade to cater for employees at independent auto repair shops, as well as for students and teachers of vocational schools.
The centre is being established and managed jointly with the Serbian auto mechanics association JUMV. Here mechanics learn how to use diagnostic apparatus and to comply with technical standards. They also learn how to fit spare parts into used vehicles. The training gives them an overview of state-of-the-art standards, technologies and organisational solutions. In addition to the training courses, the centre will also offer services (e.g. mobile support service, hotline) to help the garages in their everyday business operations. Overall, the project will enable Serbia's independent auto repair shops to become more professional.
